Monday Musings 6.7.2010

Another week has elapsed. We are well into June and the 2010 wedding season.

This year has been good to me and if the Gods of wedding photography are pleased with my efforts to build my business, 2011 will be even more productive.

I love my clients and work hard on their behalf capturing the moments which will bring smiles to their faces for years to come. It almost doesn’t matter how bad my week was. When I meet with the couple and we begin their wedding day together all of the week’s stresses have melted away.

Last Sunday I met with Audrey and Michael to review their wedding album. I love the compliments I receive when couple’s view their photos. The validation I receive is helpful reminder I’m doing a good job.

Saturday I photographed Michelle and Bryan’s wedding. What a party! What a venue! Michelle looked beautiful and everyone had an awesome time. The night before the wedding it rained cats and dogs. Saturday I awoke to a beautiful sunrise and we hoped the rain forcast later in the day would hold off. It did. We experienced a light rain approximately 10:00 PM. I’m writing a sneak preview for Michelle and Bryan, so stay tuned later this week for that post.

Sunday was a whirlwind as I woke Sunday morning and took the three hour trip to Syracuse where Kujo played in the first ever “Upstate vs. Downstate” Senior All-star game. We received a call from him and it appears as though he’s going to continue the excellent season he recently completed in high school as he makes the transition to college football. Kujo intercepted the quarterback and returned the pic for a touchdown. I know I said this in a post about this time last year but it bears repeating, I love summer but I can’t wait until football season starts again.

Stephen is #45 in the photo below. His team was beaten 36-7 but it was actually the team which beat themselves. There were a total of two players who were ejected from the game for serious unsportsmanlike conduct. C’mon guys…it’s an All-Star game, yes, but it’s also supposed to be fun. Individually, Stephen played a solid game and he looks forward to arriving on the Alfred University campus in two-months to begin training camp.
