Spring Cleanup

Every Spring usually before I head out in my kayak for the first time, I walk a stretch of the Erie Canal and Niagara River. I pick-up the various bits of garbage that have been left behind, washed up or have been blown about by the winter winds. If you read my list of “Things I hate about Spring”, you will notice “dirty snow” at the top of my list. When summer gets into full swing I can usually be found paddling and picking garbage out of the water. I just don’t understand why people need to be so careless with their environment. Enjoy it but take care of it.
