Hello Constant Reader,
Here is another installment of “Monday Musings.”
Nancy and I dealt with some very difficult family concerns last week and I am happy to report we both made it through the week relatively unscathed. The photos that follow and their special meaning to me is what helped me to get through this and other difficult times. Difficult life experiences are like death and taxes, they are one of the things which you can count on. For me the ability to find solitude is important for there are answers in my solitude. One of the fe places where I can find such solitude is by the water’s edge. There is something calming about the water as it laps at the shore.
Those who know me know of my love for the water and the calming sound as it laps against the rocky shore. The following photos were taken as Jack and I scrambled to get into the car and make the quick one-mile trip to the Niagara River where we often take our evening walk. If Jack could speak I am sure he would let me know how happy he is when we take these walks.

I make no apologizes for the quality of this last photo. It was taken as I steadied my trusty point and shoot on the steering wheel as I drove 70 MPH toward Canton, NY.
We drove toward Albany on the NYS Thruway and rounded a curve in the road. As we rounded that curve the sky brightened until this most beautiful sunrise rose to meet us. I sat in awe and thought of the possibilities as the frustrations that can be a part of our day were washed away.

Don’t ask me why Nancy chooses not to purchase an Alfred University sweatshirt. She is often slow to change but the love for our son is evident in the huge smile on her face.
Thanks everyone for reading.
